The coursework Master’s in Nanoscience consists of six modules and a minor dissertation. The three modules Fundamentals of Nanoscience, Instrumentation in and Management and Entrepreneurship are compulsory for all students and the remaining three modules are chosen in consultation with the Head of Department. The ratio of the course work modules to the research component is 40:60.

Admission requirements: An Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics or Biotechnology, with an aggregate final mark of 60% or higher. Admission is subject to approval by the relevant Head of Department and the Faculty of Science.
